Freedom Flow II Wireless Leg Bag Emptier

$650.00

The perfect solution for independence during your private moments.

  • No Leakage
  • Discrete & Lightweight
  • Long lasting battery
  • No wheelchair power needed
  • Easy-push remote

This new 2nd Generation wireless Leg Bag Emptier which opens and closes the urine bag with the push of a wireless button using new high-tech Flexinol™ which is a dynamic alloy wire that changes length when a voltage is applied to it. This creates a very powerful, reliable valve with no moving parts that stays shut naturally.

The emptier pinches the tubing that comes with your leg bag, meaning it is always external and year and never touches the equipment. You can follow our normal routine or replacement of your leg bag keeping everything clean and odor free. Pushing the wireless button causes it to release its firm pinch grasp on your leg bags latex tubing, allowing it to drain rapidly, approximately 10 times faster than mechanical valves used through the 80s and 90s.

The rechargeable batteries last approximately 1 week. Since it does not depend on power wheelchair batteries it can be used with a manual chair or a power chair or scooter or any other mobility device.

Our clients, the quadriplegic community love the independence this device brings to them. No wires, bulky batteries, washers or screws! Just a small valve and wireless push-button installed in 2 minutes! Urine will never touch your device.

When installing the Latex Tubing it is important to have the tubing centered on the plunger. Please see the images below for the correct and incorrect way to place the tubing. If you place the tube too far left or right the valve may not function correctly. Please contact us if you have additional questions.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a warranty?

Yes, a one year warranty from the date of purchase. However, it only covers use in North America. The product is relatively new, we are still learning what is required to properly support regions outside North America.

Is the Freedom Flow™ covered through insurance?

Bear with us on this one. We are currently working to get the Freedom Flow™ covered by insurance, but as you can imagine, it's a process. Don't worry, everyone will be updated when the process is complete!

Do I have to strap the unit onto my ankle?

While it is recommended to strap the unit onto your leg bag, you have the freedom to attach it anywhere that is comfortable for you. Another option would be attaching the device to the side of the wheelchair.

Is there a possibility that the remote shares a frequency with another electronic item?

The chances of the Freedom Flow™ remote being powered by another electronic frequency other than it's own is highly unlikely. The odds are about 17,000,000 to 1. Let's just say, we have been doing this for over a decade and it hasn't happened yet.

How big is the device?

The Freedom Flow™  main unit is  88.9mm x 38.1mm x 38.1mm.  The weight of the main unit is 0.182 lbs (82.6 g)

The Freedom Flow™ remote is 76.2mm x 38.1mm x 19.05mm . The weight of the remote is 0.106 lbs (48 g)

Does the device require maintenance?

We recommend that you use disinfectant alcohol wipes to regularly clean your device & charger. Regular cleaning will expand the life of your Freedom Flow™.

Is it difficult to press the button if I have limited finger mobility?

The button is an "easy-press" button that requires low force. We specifically chose this button, compared to a "toggle switch", which is often more difficult to use.

You also do not have to hold the button down to empty the entire bag all at once. Instead, you can open the valve multiple times (as many as you need to) to empty the bag at your own pace. A 1000mL urinary leg bag empties in about 15 seconds with the Freedom Flow™.

"Over the past 30 years, I have tried every tool and trick available to let me empty my own leg bag, with no success. Freedom Flow™ II enables me to empty my leg bag anytime, without asking friends, colleagues, or even strangers for help. What a great feeling to finally be independent with such a personal task.".

"I love my Freedom Flow™ and it works great! It gives people like me great independence and freedom!"

"The Freedom Flow  device has given my husband true "freedom" from the stress of having to be with another person 24 hours a day. Can you just  imagine having to spend every minute in someone else's company?... We purchase our device in 2012 or 2013, can't recall actual date and it still works great"

"I've been using the Freedom Flow since they were in beta testing and I absolutely love it! I am using the current model, version "K"  I believe, and it's working great. The later addition of the "safety clip" effectively resolved the problem of the clamp bracket sliding off at the slightest bump (which originally caused the hose to unclamp)."
